about sally's strength

About Sally

Hello! I am Sally the coach behind Sally's Strength . I am a strength and conditioning, power-lifting and nutrition coach based in  Liverpool city centre. I have a bachelors degree in sports and exercise science and nutrition , and  coaching qualifications across different disciplines. I have been training as a competitive Power lifter for 5 /6 years and used to play football up until my teen years!  I started off as a  strength coach at the university of hull working with the competitive sports teams and shortly after starting and coaching the hull university power lifting team while teaching children PE.

Where i started

Growing up my dad always encouraged my siblings and i to participate in as many activities as possible as a PE teacher himself, i found myself fond of a few sports mostly football and swimming , i went on to compete in football for 14 years , and when i was 15  began football coaching for younger children. around that time after some time of not exercising much  i decided to join a gym which lead me into being interested in nutrition for exercise as i realised i needed to eat better for my training type. i around that time began to power lift and as i got to university and studied  sports nutrition i would teach my friends how to do the basic lifts in power lifting so studies strength and conditioning assisting as an S&C coach and becoming a qualified coach.

Why i coach

As someone who loves power lifting and training in general , i know the mental and physical benefits you can get from it , but i also know there is so much information out there that is not always correct when it comes to strength coaching and nutrition , and as someone who spent the majority of time strength training , teaching my friends how to or learning about the science and art behind coaching , i developed a big passion to give people the information i have acquired and help them achieve their own personal goals and healthy habits through strength and nutrition coaching to better their health , mindset and lifestyle.
